Hypertherm Inc. has introduced FineCut consumables for users of the Powermax line of plasma cutting torches and systems. FineCut consumables aims to improve cut quality on thin-plate metals by providing a narrower kerf width, virtually no heat-affected zone and a reduction in dross delivering superior metal finish and increased productivity. With Hypertherm FineCut consumables, hand- and machine-torch operators cutting thin-plate, mild and stainless steel will obtain the narrowest possible kerf and the smallest heat affected zone. FineCut is also designed to reduce rework time and in some cases eliminate secondary operations such as dross removal.
