Thickening circuit contract

Outokumpu Technology has been awarded a further contract at Boddington Gold Mine for the delivery of the complete thickening circuit at the Boddington expansion project in Australia. This latest thickening contract follows an earlier order for the complete flash flotation circuit. Boddington Gold Mine is jointly owned by Newmont and AngloGold Ashanti. Outokumpu Technology’s scope in this latest design and supply project comprises four thickeners, the largest being a 74m SUPAFLO® high rate thickener. The thickeners were selected due to Boddington’s requirement for handling of the high throughput. Almost all components for Boddington will be sourced from Australian suppliers. Delivery is scheduled for May 2007.
