The HDT16 tool for SS cable ties and fixings

The new HDT16 from HellermannTyton is an easy-to-use tool, designed for both one and two-handed operation. It allows contractors to achieve a very tight bundle when installing heavy duty stainless steel (SS) cable ties, which are typically used for securing large power cables in demanding environments, including the oil & gas, shipbuilding and power generation industries.
Safety concerns must always be balanced against the need for speed and performance, making the HDT16 the ideal tool for achieving a successful installation. The integrated tensioning and cutting mechanism allows for a clean, flush cut, in turn minimising the risk of injury to engineers and installers by eliminating any sharp edges. The two-way nose piece makes the tool ideal for use with stainless steel cable ties of up to 16.0mm in width, including HellermannTyton’s MBT and AMT-Series heavy duty fastenings.
Incorporating hardened steel precision components for durability along with a uniquely designed lightweight body ensures consistent high performance in the most challenging of environments. Moreover, the handles are easily adjustable to a range of positions to provide the most ergonomic one-handed or two-handed position and ease of use for the operator.
