Back in June 2011, Stainless Steel World was pleased to receive a paper from Mr Hedayat Omidvar, the Head of Communication Affairs within the Research & Technology Department of the NIGC, the National Iranian Gas Company.
In that paper, Mr Omidvar presented an authoritative overview of the Iranian gas industry, and hinted at the size, scope and ambitions of the NIGC.

Now we are extremely pleased to report that Mr Omidvar has provided a follow-up report.
Entitled “The gas industry as a reliable bed for investment”, this second paper looks at some of the advantages that Iran has in the gas arena before going on to give details about fifteen projects in Iran.
The projects Mr Omidvar lists cover investments in facilities such as gas processing plants, trans-national gas pipelines, underground storage plans, pressure booster stations, etc.
The paper concludes with a summary of other investment areas in fields related to the gas industry, and highlights important development research plans within the NIGC.
In short, compelling reading for anyone who is interested in the gas industry and we are extremely grateful to Mr Omidvar for providing such a detailed analysis.
