Technip creates engineering company in Kazakhstan

Technip and Transport of Oil and Gas (TOG), the National Oil and Gas Transportation Company of Kazakhstan, have created a joint engineering and construction company headquartered in Almaty. Both shareholders will hold a 50% stake in this company, named Technip Kazakhstan. The main activity of the new company is to provide engineering services for the construction of facilities in oil and gas (offshore and onshore field development, transport pipelines, oil refining, gas processing and petrochemicals) with the support of Technip Group. – At the same time Technip has finalised the acquisition (100 %) of the privately owned UTC Projectos e Consultoria SA. Technip acquired this Brazilian engineering and construction company to develop its activities in the upstream sector and especially in deep-water field development.
