Technip awarded Tupi deal

French-based services giant Technip has won a flexible pipe supply contract from Brazilian state-run Petrobras for the Tupi field.  Technip will supply the infield lines of the pilot system for Tupi, which is located in the Santos basin, in 2200m of water, about 300km off the Brazilian coast.  The contract includes the engineering, procurement, manufacturing and supply of 90km of risers and flowlines for water injection, oil production, gas lift and carbon dioxide reinjection. Delivery of the pipes is scheduled to start towards the end of this year and finish by the end of 2012.
