Tanzania has signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding with Noor oil of Qatar for construction of an oil refinery plant and a 1200km pipeline from Dar es Salaam-to-Mwanza. If the pipeline project will be successful, the investor is thinking of extending it to Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda in the future.
