YUSCO invests to boost stainless in China

Yieh United Steel Corporation will invest USD 211.7 million for the implementation of two significant projects including the construction of a ferronickel plant in Fujian and the expansion of stainless cold rolled capacity at its affiliate, Lianzhong Stainless Steel Corporation.

Yusco to start stainless project by 2005

Taiwanese stainless steel giant Yieh United Steel Corp (Yusco) expects to start its 2.4 million mt/year hot-rolled stainless steel project and 800,000mt/year steel smelting project in Huangpu district in China's Guangzhou city by the end of 2008.
