Wintershall Dea was awarded two offshore blocks in the Santos and Campos basins with its partners Chevron and Repsol. Wintershall Dea will hold an interest of 20% in the blocks S-M-766 and C-M-845, alongside its partners Repsol and Chevron (operator).

Wintershall together with its partners Capricorn, Spirit Energy, Edison and DEA submitted the plan for development and operation for its operated North Sea Nova field to the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.

Wintershall and its partners Petoro and Centrica have received approval by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy for the plan for development and operation (PDO) for the Maria development, offshore Norway. Under the approved development solution, the Maria reservoir will be linked via a subsea tieback to the Kristin, Heidrun and Åsgard B production platforms.

Wintershall, Germany’s largest internationally active oil and gas producer, awarded a major pipeline and subsea construction (PSC) contract to Subsea 7.

Wintershall is stepping up its activities in the southern North Sea. In addition to an extensive drilling campaign in the Netherlands, the UK and Denmark, the company intends to take its natural gas and crude oil discoveries into the production phase swiftly. Wintershall operates 24 offshore platforms in Dutch, German and UK waters of the North Sea and is one of the most active explorers and producers in this region.

Subsea 7 has received the letter of intent from Wintershall for work associated with the F16 project in the Dutch Sector of the North Sea.

Gazprom has approved the creation of a joint venture with German energy firm Wintershall to develop untapped parts of a giant Siberian field.

The largest German oil company Wintershall (Kassel) and Gazprom are planning to set up a joint company for the exploitation of hard-to-access gas deposits in western Siberia.
