Vallourec has recently received an order for 400 tons of MSH (Mannesmann Structural Hollow Sections) which will be used as basic structures for the anode cages constituting the corrosion protection system of the Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm.

Boulogne-Billancourt: Vallourec, a specialist in premium tubular solutions, has recently started exclusive negotiations with Ascometal, a producer of special steels, with a view to the sale of its majority holding in the Saint-Saulve steel mill (Hauts-de-France region).

Vallourec Tube-Alloy, a wholly-owned Vallourec subsidiary specialized in the production and repair of accessories for Oil & Gas wells, has recently opened its new plant in Singapore, to be known as ‘Vallourec Tube -Alloy Asia-Pacific’.

Vallourec, the premium tubular solutions company, will now operate in four regional units: Europe, North America, the Eastern Hemisphere and South America. The four regional senior vice presidents are part of the Vallourec Group Management Committee and report directly to Philippe Crouzet, chairperson of the Vallourec management board.

Vallourec's subsidiary specialising in the production of tubes for nuclear power plants, Valinox Nucléaire, has been contracted by AREVA to manufacture tubes for eight steam generators that will equip two EDF 1,300MW reactors. The two contracts form part of EDF's programme, launched in 2011, to gradually replace the large components on its 1,300MW power plants.

Vallourec supplied seamless steel pipes to create a high road for the tracks for the Maglev-Cobra magnetic levitation train, being currently tested in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which levitates silently on magnetic tracks, at an average speed of 70 km/hour.

Vallourec has been awarded a contract to supply premium tubes and connections for the ultra-deep offshore Kaombo project in Angola, operated by TOTAL E&P Angola. As part of this contract, Vallourec will supply 27,000 tons of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) for wells drilled within 1,400m to 2,000m water depth and reaching up to 5000m drilling depth.

Vallourec successfully launched a EUR 500M bond issue, maturing in September 2024, with an annual coupon of 2.25%.

The bond proceeds will be used for the general financing purposes of the group, enabling Vallourec to increase its financial flexibility and lengthen the maturity of its debt profile.

Vallourec started deliveries of premium line pipe for the offshore Egina field, operated by Total Upstream Nigeria.

Vallourec, the premium tubular solutions company, has been awarded a contract by Technip Umbilicals for the Edradour project operated by TOTAL in the UK.
