Valinox Nucléaire awarded two contracts

Vallourec's subsidiary specialising in the production of tubes for nuclear power plants, Valinox Nucléaire, has been contracted by AREVA to manufacture tubes for eight steam generators that will equip two EDF 1,300MW reactors. The two contracts form part of EDF's programme, launched in 2011, to gradually replace the large components on its 1,300MW power plants.

Vallourec pipes for magnetic levitation train

Vallourec supplied seamless steel pipes to create a high road for the tracks for the Maglev-Cobra magnetic levitation train, being currently tested in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which levitates silently on magnetic tracks, at an average speed of 70 km/hour.

Vallourec wins Kaombo offshore project contract

Vallourec has been awarded a contract to supply premium tubes and connections for the ultra-deep offshore Kaombo project in Angola, operated by TOTAL E&P Angola. As part of this contract, Vallourec will supply 27,000 tons of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) for wells drilled within 1,400m to 2,000m water depth and reaching up to 5000m drilling depth.

EUR 500M bond issue for Vallourec

Vallourec successfully launched a EUR 500M bond issue, maturing in September 2024, with an annual coupon of 2.25%.

The bond proceeds will be used for the general financing purposes of the group, enabling Vallourec to increase its financial flexibility and lengthen the maturity of its debt profile.

Steel tubes for umbilicals in the North Sea

Vallourec, the premium tubular solutions company, has been awarded a contract by Technip Umbilicals for the Edradour project operated by TOTAL in the UK.
