Siemens, SSE to build highly efficient power plant
Siemens and the Scottish energy company SSE plc have announced that they will collaborate to build the highly efficient gas-fired power station Keadby 2 in Lincolnshire.
SSE welcomes consent for Stronelairg wind farm
SSE welcomed the decision by Scottish Ministers to grant consent, with associated planning conditions, for Stronelairg wind farm, situated south-east of Fort Augustus in the Great Glen. The wind farm will have 67 turbines with a maximum capacity of up to 240MW and is to be located on Garrogie Estate.
Jacobs win UK gas storage contract
Jacobs has received a contract from Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) for the construction of six underground gas storage caverns at Aldbrough in North Yorkshire.
