The Supervisory Board of Siemens AG has extended Joe Kaeser's appointment as President and CEO ahead of schedule. His term of office will now extend until the Annual Shareholders' Meeting in 2021.

The EU Commission has unconditionally approved Siemens' acquisition of Dresser-Rand. All regulatory approvals required to complete the transaction have now been obtained and the transaction due to be closed by the end of June 2015. 
DNV GL Prototype Certificate for new wind turbine
DNV GL has awarded Siemens Wind Power with offshore prototype certification for its new 7MW offshore wind turbine SWT-7.0-154, which will now undergo field-testing in Østerild, Denmark.
The prototype certificate confirms the compliance of the wind turbine design with the mandatory prototype requirements of the IEC 61400-22 standard and the Danish Executive Order (DEO).
