Saarstahl issues final acceptance to SMS group
Saarstahl AG, a producer of quality steel for rolled and forged finished products with German locations in Völklingen, Burbach and Neunkirchen, has recently issued final acceptance to SMS group for the expansion of the high-capacity wire rod mill at their Burbach location.
Saarstahl orders new wire rod outlet from SMS
Saarstahl has placed an order with SMS group for a new wire rod outlet for its Neunkirchen works, Germany. The new wire rod outlet will be installed downline of the existing intermediate train stands and parallel to the present rolling line.
Saarstahl continues rolling mill modernisation
Saarstahl is continuing its modernisation programme with further investments in the rolling mills in Völklingen and Burbach following previous major investment projects such as building the new secondary metallurgy in the steelmaking plant.
Peter Schäfer quits Saarstahl Board
Dr Peter Schäfer has resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Management of Saarstahl in order to pursue new challenges outside the company. He has been with the company since 2007, first as chief representative, and from 2008, as a member of the Board of Management, where he was responsible for the sales division.
