POSCO CEO Kwon Oh-joon hosted his first Investors Forum at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul, where he announced the new management strategy, ‘growth with substantiality’, outlined by focusing on core steel businesses and establishing the foundation for mega-growth, business restructuring for management efficiency, and securing soundness in financial structure.

NLMK Group, Russian manufacturer of steel and HVA steel products, and South Korean POSCO Engineering and Construction signed a general agreement on strategic cooperation to jointly implement investment projects for modernising blast furnace, steelmaking and rolling operation at the Lipetsk production site.

POSCO won the bid by Shinsegae E&C to supply H-type steel and thick plate for the Dongdaegu Multi-Transfer Center construction project.

POSCO held its Board of Directors meeting in February at the Seoul POSCO Center to select the directorship candidates. The Board recommended Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies President Ilsup Kim, Seah Law Firm Partner Wuyeong Seon, and Seoul National University Department of Economics Professor Donghyeon Ahn as Outside Director candidates, and POSCO CHEMTECH President Jinil Kim, POSCO E&C Vice President Yeonghun Lee, and POSCO Executive Director Dongjun Yoon as External Director candidates.
