SHI launches hull for giant FLNG unit, third in Petronas’ fleet
Samsung Heavy Industries launched the hull for Petronas’ third FLNG unit, PFLNG Tiga. Scheduled to operate in 2027, it will produce 2.1 million tonnes of LNG annually off the coast of Sabah, Malaysia.
PETRONAS concludes Malaysia bid round 2024
PETRONAS has signed two new PSCs off Sabah and launched MBR 2025. This includes 14 new contracts under MBR 2024, with major oil players like BP and TotalEnergies exploring frontier basins to expand Malaysia’s energy resources.
