Petrobras honoured for its contribution to shipping
Petrobras was felicitated at the third edition of Naval Award for Quality and Sustainability (PNQS) for the contribution to the shipping industry in Brazil. The company was represented at the event by the advisor to the president for local content and Prominp (Mobilization Program for the National Oil and Natural Gas Industry), Paul Alonso.
Petrobras selects Prysmian Umbilicals, flexible pipes
Prysmian Group was awarded a major contract worth approx. USD 260M, related to a frame agreement for Umbilical products for offshore oil and gas extraction, by Brazilian oil company Petrobras.
The award refers to a frame agreement for 360km of Umbilicals, most of it to be used in pre-salt fields, in 16 different cross sections and related ancillaries, offshore services and qualifications, worth approximately USD 260M with 50% minimum purchasing commitment and call-off orders to be placed within a two-year period.

DeepOcean awarded new IMR contract with Petrobras
DeepOcean AS, part of DeepOcean Group, together with its Brazilian partner Comphania Brasileira de Offshore (CBO), have been awarded a 2-year contract with 2-year extension options by Petróleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) E&P Services.

The P-63 FPSO ended being temporarily located in Ilha de Santana, in Macaé (RJ), after it was finished within the set period. This was to complete additional works resulting from a change in the underwater layout of the wells, which was carried out to adhere to environmental licensing conditions.
Petrobras completes drilling and test of fourth we
Petrobras has completed the drilling and formation test of the fourth exploratory well at Iara area, block BM-S-11, in the Santos Basin pre-salt. These results have strengthened the potential of recoverable light oil from Iara, and have confirmed the discovery of good quality oil (28° API) announced in March.

Petrobras to use Technip’s flexible pipes
Technip was awarded a major contract by Petrobras for the supply of flexible pipes for the Iracema Sul (former Cernambi Sul) field, located in the Santos Basin pre-salt area in Brazil, at a water depth of up to 2,500m.

New discovery in the Rights Transfer Area
Petrobras has discovered good-quality oil in the fourth well drilled in the Rights Transfer area in the Santos Basin pre-salt cluster. The well, 3-BRSA-1053-RJS (3-RJS-699), known as Franco SW, is located at a water depth of 2,024 m, some 210 km off the coast of the city of Rio de Janeiro and 17 km south of discovery well 2-ANP-1-RJS (Franco).
