Geopark to acquire oil & gas assets from LGI
GeoPark Limited (GeoPark), an independent Latin American oil and gas explorer, operator and consolidator with operations and growth platforms in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Chile, announced an agreement to acquire the LG International Corporation (LGI) interest in GeoPark’s Colombian and Chilean operations and subsidiaries.

Siemens to build power plant in Peru
Siemens Energy has been awarded a USD 80 million contract for turnkey construction of the Santo Domingo de los Olleros simple cycle power plant in Peru with an option for a combined cycle plant in the next phase. The purchaser is Peru-based Termochilca SAC. The simple cycle plant is scheduled to start commercial operation in late 2012.
Peru: LNG liquefaction project
CB&I has been awarded a contract by Peru LNG SRL for the engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning of a LNG liquefaction plant in Pampa Malchorita, Peru, located 170km south of Lima.
