BP has announced the successful start-up of the Devenick gas project in the central North Sea, a subsea tie-back to Marathon Oil’s East Brae platform, which provides an important new source of domestic gas for the UK.

Total announces that its affiliate Total E&P Norge has participated in a significant gas and condensate discovery in the King Lear prospect on Production Licenses 146 & 333 in the Southern sector of the Norwegian North Sea (Statoil 77.8% operator - Total 22.2%). The King Lear 2/4-21 well has encountered volumes estimated between 70 and 200 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Aker Solutions has received a contract from Statoil, to conduct the topside FEED (front-end engineering and design) study at the Mariner field on the UK continental shelf in the North Sea. The contract is valued at approximately NOK 125 million.

TATA Steel has received contracts valued at approximately USD 32 million from Subsea 7 to provide 43km of pipe for three North Sea pipeline installation projects. These include BP's Andrew Area and Apache’s Bacchus developments. TATA's Hartlepool plant

Aberdeen-based PSN has won a deal with decommissioning work in the Brent field of the North Sea.

In connection with phase two of the Vigdis extension project, operator Statoil has awarded contracts to FMC Kongsberg, Saipem and Stolt Offshore.

Stolt Offshore SA has announced that it has received a Letter of Intent for a contract valued at USD 90 million from Statoil ASA for pipeline installation on the Tyrihans oil and gas field development project in the Norwegian Sector of the North Sea.

Stolt Offshore has been awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips (UK) Limited for the Britannia Satellites Phase 1 Development Project in the Central North Sea.
