NLMK Group reports savings with PCI implementation
NLMK Group announced savings of EUR 6M in 2014 through the use of pulverized coal injection (PCI) technology at two blast furnaces at its Novolipetsk production site in Lipetsk.
PCI technology involves the co-injection of natural gas and fine thermal coal particles into the blast furnace resulting in lower natural gas and coke consumption. 
NLMK outsources steelmaking operations maintenance
NLMK Group, Russian manufacturer of steel and one of the most efficient steel companies in the world, has signed a contract with SMS group for full time service of key process equipment at the Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) Shops at Novolipetsk, its main production site in Lipetsk.

Napolskikh promoted general director of Stoilensky
Sergei Napolskikh, previously deputy general director, Production and Technology, has been appointed general director of Stoilensky (part of NLMK Group).

In the new role, Sergei Napolskikh will continue to implement the operational efficiency improvement program that is part of NLMK Group’s Strategy 2017; and investment projects, including the construction of the largest in Europe pelletizing plant with a capacity of over 6MTPA.
NLMK Group rebrands UZPS as NLMK-Metalware
UZPS, the Urals Precision Alloys Plant, part of NLMK Group’s Long Products Division specializing in the production of metalware, was rebranded and changed its name to NLMK-Metalware.
This way its name and corporate identity were brought in line with its production profile and NLMK Group’s overall corporate style.
