NLMK DanSteel supplies plates for PISA project
NLMK DanSteel, part of NLMK Europe Plate and Denmark’s only manufacturer of steel plates, has supplied 200t of plates with special dimensions made from high-strength steel for the construction of experimental foundations for offshore wind turbines as part of The PISA Project, the European research and development programme.
NLMK DanSteel supports wind turbine R&D programme
NLMK DanSteel, part of NLMK Europe Plate and Denmark’s only manufacturer of plates, has joined the European research and development programme aimed at improving the construction of foundations for offshore wind turbines in order to reduce their weight and cost, as well as raise the investment appeal of wind generation.
NLMK DanSteel ties up with university, municipality
NLMK DanSteel, the Technical University of Denmark, the Lipetsk State Technical University and the Halsnaes Municipality (Frederiksvaerk, Denmark) signed a Declaration on Cooperation, aimed at boosting the efficiency of thick plate production at NLMK DanSteel for the manufacture of offshore windmills and constructions.
The parties are joining efforts to identify & implement innovative process solutions that will reduce the environmental footprint of the plates used in offshore windmill park constructions, as well as bring down the cost of construction and expand their lifetime and reliability in general.
Currently, 28% of electric power in Denmark is generated by windmills. NLMK DanSteel appoints Yuriy Bokachev as MD
Yuriy Bokachev has been appointed as the managing director of NLMK DanSteel, a Danish plate producer and part of NLMK Europe Plate Products. In this capacity, Yuriy Bokachev will be responsible for NLMK DanSteel’s operating activities, operational health and safety, and environmental issues.
