Wood Group wins onshore pipeline work
Wood Group has secured a USD 1M contract with Origin Energy to provide detailed design engineering for the onshore pipelines related to the Halladale, Black Watch & Speculant (HBWS) Natural Gas Project in South West Victoria, Australia.
The HBWS gas fields are located in the offshore Otway Basin in Victoria but due to their proximity to shore, and to avoid sensitive marine environments, they are being drilled using extended reach drilling (ERD) techniques from onshore location and tied back to the existing Otway Gas Plant.
MHI to transfer stake in MBE to MEG
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) concluded an agreement with Miyaji Engineering Group (MEG) for the transfer of MHI’s 51% ownership stake in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Bridge & Steel Structures Engineering Co.
Foster Wheeler awarded contract by Shell
A contract has been awarded by Shell Global Solutions International B.V to Global Engineering and Construction Group, a Foster Wheeler subsidiary to develop a basic engineering package for a world-scale mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) facility in Ras Laffan, Qatar.The MEG facility will be part of a new petrochemicals complex being developed by a joint venture by Qatar Petroleum and Shell.
