DECC approves Mariner field development plan
The UK government's Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) announced their approval of the field development plan put forward by Statoil and its co-venturers for the Mariner heavy oil field.
The project entails investments of more than USD 7B and is the largest new offshore development in the UK in more than a decade.
Aker Solutions wins FEED study Statoil field
Aker Solutions has received a contract from Statoil, to conduct the topside FEED (front-end engineering and design) study at the Mariner field on the UK continental shelf in the North Sea. The contract is valued at approximately NOK 125 million.
