Maersk Drilling has signed a contract with Aker Energy for Maersk Viking, an ultra-deepwater drillship, to drill the Pecan-4A appraisal well offshore Ghana.

Maersk Drilling and DNV have entered into a contract for software quality assurance of Maersk’s new CJ70 jack-up units to be delivered by Keppel in Singapore.

DNV will carry out software-version control audits of key equipment, with a focus on software integrity, on the CJ70 jack-ups built at Keppel in Singapore during the commissioning of the units.
