BASF selects Fluor as Global Engineering Partner
Fluor Corporation announced that Germany-based BASF SE has selected the company as its global engineering partner for future chemical and petrochemical plant projects around the world.
The services agreement was signed at BASF’s chemicals complex and headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany, by Peter Oosterveer, Fluor’s COO, Martin Buschbacher, BASF senior vice president of Global Indirect Procurement, Wolfgang Haas, BASF president of Legal, Taxes and Insurance, and Volker Knabe, BASF president of Engineering and Maintenance.

BASF to build new PAG plant in Ludwigshafen
BASF announced the construction of a new plant for polyalkylene glycol (PAG)-based lubricants at its Ludwigshafen site. The manufacturing facility will start operations by the beginning of 2016 and produce PAG lubricant base stocks and formulated blends.
BASF to build a TDI plant in Ludwigshafen
BASF has announced that it will build a single-train 300,000 metric tons per year production plant for TDI (toluene diisocyanate) and expand additional plants for its precursors at its site in Ludwigshafen.
