KBR wins Pre-FEED at Anadarko’s LNG Plant
KBR has won a contract from Anadarko Mozambique Area 1, Ltd., to perform a pre-front-end-engineering and design (pre-FEED) study for a prospective Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant in Mozambique, Africa.
InterOil, Noble sign HOA for LNG
InterOil Corp. and Pacific LNG Operations Ltd. have signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with Noble Clean Fuels Limited, for the supply of one million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from the Gulf LNG Project in Papua New Guinea.
SENER part of Dunkerque regas plant project
SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas has signed an LNG contract with Dunkerque LNG for the development of a regasification plant in Dunkerque, France. SENER has received this EPC contract as part of the TS LNG consortium made up of SENER and Techint.
Shell to move forward with Floating LNG
The Board of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) has made the final investment decision on the Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Project in Australia; the company will build the world's first FLNG facility. QGC & Japan sign 21-year LNG deal
Queensland Gas Co. (QGC) announced on 13 May 2011 that its parent, BG Group, has secured a contract to supply Japan with liquefied natural gas (LNG) for 21 years. The BG Group has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Chubu Electric Power for the long-term supply of LNG. Under the agreement, Chubu Electric will buy up to 122 cargoes over 21 years, starting in 2014. The LNG will be supplied from BG Group's global LNG portfolio, including the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Project under development by BG Group's wholly owned Australian subsidiary, QGC
Siemens completes mega-train for Qatargas
Siemens Industry, Inc. has completed the world's largest onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) compressor "mega-train" for Qatargas. The last of the 72 Siemens ROBICON Perfect Harmony Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) has been installed and brought online. As Qatar holds the world's third largest gas reserves, these new LNG projects have allowed the country to raise its overall LNG production capacity to 77 million tns/yr, meeting the demands of global LNG buyers.
