Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET, based in Denver, Colorado, USA) entered into an exclusive license agreement with Kobe Steel Ltd on 16 May 2002 for the manufacture and sale of Kobe’s patented “next generationâ€? Ti 9 titanium alloy (Ti, 4.5% Al, 2% Mo, 1.6%V, 0.5% Fe, 0.3% Si and 0.03% C).
