New oil discovery in the Johan Castberg licence
Equinor and partners ENI and Petoro have completed the Skruis exploration well in the Johan Castberg licence. The well confirms a volume of 12-25 million recoverable barrels of oil.
Statoil awards Johan Castberg contract
Statoil has awarded Kværner the contract for the Johan Castberg topsides. The contract includes the construction and installation of the topside structure for the floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) to be located on the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea.
