Tangguh LNG Project FEED contract for KBR
KBR announced that its partnership with PT Rekayasa Industri, JGC Corporation and PT JGC Indonesia, the RJK JV, has been awarded the onshore front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract by BP for a third liquefaction train at the Tangguh LNG Project in West Papua province, Indonesia.The expansion project follows the successful completion of the two-train Tangguh LNG plant in 2009 and associated facilities by a joint venture partnership between JGC Corporation, KBR and PT Pertafenikki Engineering (KJP JV). Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) has suspended cold rolled coil exports to Indonesia after the Indonesian government announced to levy antidumping duty on CRC imports from Japan. According to data released by the South East Asia Iron & Steel Institute, Indonesia’s CRC imports accounted for 30% of the country’s total consumption.
