JSPL chooses GE Power Conversion to triple output

Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) selected GE Power Conversion’s AC motors and drives to upgrade the steckel mill at its Raigarh Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh, India. The upgrade will boost production at the facility in line with JSPL’s plans to more than triple the steel-making capacity at its Raigarh plant from 3Mt per annum (MPTA) to 10MPTA by 2020.

Indian delegation to explore iron ore assets in Br

JSPL receives order from Power Grid

Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) said it has received an order from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for supply of 80,000tns of steel. The PGCIL will use this steel in setting up two transmission towers in Southern India.

Solar plant

Sunborne Energy has unveiled plans to build a 50MW solar thermal power project in Andhra Pradesh. The company will develop the project in partnership with Kosla Ventures and General Catalyst Partners, from which it secured USD 25 million in funding.

Flowserve to upgrade facilities in India

Flowserve will spend USD 30 million to expand and upgrade two manufacturing facilities in Coimbatore, India. Although the two existing facilities at the campus generate a wide range of industrial and engineered pumps, the new investment will see a third facility added that will manufacture high-energy pumps used in nuclear and fossil fuel power plants.
