JGC/KBR wins Algeria contract
JGC/KBR, a 50/50 joint venture between JGC Corporation of Yokohama, Japan, and Kellogg Brown & Root, a business unit of Halliburton Company, have signed a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of the In Salah Gas facilities, infrastructure and gathering systems in southern Algeria for BP/Sonatrach.

BP Amoco and Algerian state hydrocarbons firm Sonatrach have signed a USD 2.5 billion deal to jointly develop the country’s In Salah gas reserves, executives of the two firms said.
