DNV GL has kicked off a joint industry project (JIP) with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Company (DSME) and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) that will establish a new international standard for offshore oil and gas projects.

DNV GL launched a research paper exploring the viability of moving offshore oil and gas processing subsea, including the techno-economics of an ‘all subsea’ solution.

DNV GL submitted the project certificate for the German offshore wind farm Meerwind Süd|Ost to WindMW, responsible for the development, construction and operation of the project.

The Board of Directors of DNV GL Group has appointed Remi Eriksen as the company’s new Group President & CEO. He is succeeding Henrik O. Madsen, who is retiring on 1 August.

Leif-Arne Langøy, Chairman of the Board of DNV GL Group says; “On behalf of the Board, I am very pleased to announce that Remi Eriksen has accepted the position as DNV GL’s new Group President & CEO.

DNV GL has awarded Siemens Wind Power with offshore prototype certification for its new 7MW offshore wind turbine SWT-7.0-154, which will now undergo field-testing in Østerild, Denmark. The prototype certificate confirms the compliance of the wind turbine design with the mandatory prototype requirements of the IEC 61400-22 standard and the Danish Executive Order (DEO).

DNV GL, the global provider of risk management services, was named the ‘Risk Management Consultancy of the Year’ at the Global Risk Awards 2015 for the second year running.
