Xodus secures ZADCO vibration contract

Xodus Group has been awarded a contract for the vibration assessment and analysis on the oil train piping and structures for Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) at Zirku Island, 140km north-west of Abu Dhabi. The work, valued at over USD 600,000, will pull in services from Xodus’ process, piping, instrumentation and structural teams.

Chinese company extends lance tube life to 1 year

Yong Steel Group, an iron and steel producer in China, has managed to extend the service life of its pulverised coal injection (PCI) lance tubes – one of the most important blast furnace components – from one month to one year by replacing standard grade tubing with Sandvik 253 MA. Sandvik 253 MA is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel that is designed for excellent high temperature oxidation resistance and carburisation corrosion resistance and good high temperature strength.

Mechel steel for Power of Siberia

Mechel, Russian mining and metals company, is supplying rebar, structural shapes and hardware rolls for construction of Power of Siberia and Altai gas pipelines.

Sun Valley selects Axium Process’ filters

Sun Valley, supplier of quality processed and raw nuts to European retailers and major blue chip manufacturers, recently purchased a number of bespoke filter systems designed and manufactured by filtration specialist Axium Process. The company, which traditionally used a sheet filter system for removing nutshell debris from oils, was looking for a flexible system capable of filtering from 2000micron down to 50micron that would require only a small footprint as well as being easy to maintain and clean.

Seatronics announces new VP Global Operations
