German chemicals company Celanese AG will build a 600,000 tonne-per-year acetic acid plant in Nanjing, eastern China.
Polyacetal plant in China
Polyplastics Co. Ltd, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company Inc. (MGC), Korea Engineering Plastics Co. Ltd (KEP) and Ticona, a business of Celanese AG, Frankfurt, have agreed on the construction of a world-scale 60,000 metric ton polyacetal (POM) facility in China.
Ticona expands capacity
Ticona, the technical polymers unit of Celanese AG, has expanded its North American compounding capability by adding 20% more capacity at its plant in Shelby, NC, and 30% more capacity at its plant in Florence, Kentucky, USA.
