Calpine Corporation is constructing a $450 million electrical generating plant in southern California that is scheduled to come online at the end of 2003. Located near Lebec, off Interstate Highway 5 North, Calpine's Pastoria Energy Center is a natural gas-fired combined cycle plant that will utilize three GE combustion turbines, heat recovery steam generators, and a steam turbine generator to produce 750MW of electricity.
