BP starts production at Clair Ridge oil field
BP, on behalf of co-venturers Shell, Chevron and ConocoPhillips, announced the first oil production from the giant Clair Ridge project in the West of Shetland region offshore UK.

BP receives OGA approval to develop Vorlich field
BP recently announced that it has received the approval from the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) to proceed with the Vorlich development in the central North Sea, which will target 30 million barrels of oil equivalent, expected to produce 20,000 barrels gross of oil equivalent a day at peak.

BP has announced the appointment of Helge Lund and Pamela Daley as new non-executive directors. Helge Lund will join the board as a non-executive director by first week of September, becoming chairman on 1 January 2019 when Carl-Henric Svanberg steps down.
BP increases share in Clair field & sell Kuparuk field
BP recently announced that it has entered into agreements with ConocoPhillips that will significantly increase its holding in the Clair field, a core asset of BP’s North Sea business in the UK, while also selling its non-operating interest in the Kuparuk and satellite oilfields in Alaska.

BP board launches search for new chairman
BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg has informed the company’s board of directors of his intention to retire. Mr Svanberg will chair the annual general meeting to be held in May 2018 and will remain in position until a successor is in post.
