Sandvik's Board of Directors has appointed Stefan Widing as new President and CEO for Sandvik with effect no later than April 2020.

Björn Rosengren, President and CEO of Sandvik, has informed the Chairman of the Sandvik Board that he intends to resign and leave the company as of 1 February 2020.

Sandvik Materials Technology has signed an agreement to divest its stainless wire business to Zapp Group, a German family-owned supplier of advanced metal products.

Jonas Gustavsson, President of the business area Sandvik Machining Solutions, has recently made the decision to leave Sandvik to take on the position as President and CEO of ŠF, an engineering and consulting company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Sandvik has recently signed an agreement to divest its Mining Systems operations, reported in the Sandvik income statement as discontinued operations, to the private equity company CoBe Capital.

As part of the new organizational structure for Sandvik, ZZ Zhang, currently Executive Vice President and Head of Emerging Markets will soon be leaving his assignment as member of the Group Executive Management team.

Sandvik will soon merge its operations Sandvik Mining and Sandvik Construction into one business area, Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology.

Anna Vikström Persson, Executive Vice President and Head of Group function Human Resources (HR), has decided to resign from her position, as of 1 June 2016. “Anna Vikström Persson has developed the HR organization and its operations in a significant way during challenging years for Sandvik.

Wärtsilä has appointed Bjorn Rosengren as the new President and CEO of Wärtsilä Corporation. Rosengren will resign from his current position at Atlas Copco and assume his new position on 1 September 2011.
