RWE AG, Germany's biggest energy group, and Electrabel SA, the Belgian energy provider, have signed a contract with BASF AG, Germany's second biggest pharmaceuticals group, for the construction of a power station in Antwerp. The plant is scheduled for completion in 2004. RWE announced yesterday that it would invest EUR 200 million together with its Belgian partner.
