Sverdrup Steel UK Ltd, the International subsidiary of Sverdrup Steel AS, Norway, celebrates the completion of a successful first year of business and the award of NS- EN ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation.
“The Sverdrup Steel Group is very happy with the first year of operations in the UK. The co-owners, John Murray, Managing Director, and Bronya Christie, Sales Director, have done an impressive job and managed to surpass our revenue forecasts for the first year. We are very pleased with turning a profit after only one year of business.” Group CEO Kristian Rosenberg explains.
Building on the success of the UK facility’s first year trading, the UK team has expanded with the recruitment of Donna Inkles as Sales Development Manager whose focus will be to expand the sales of Sverdrup Steel Group core products in the UK and European markets. An additional resource has also been added to the warehouse operation to support the continuing growth of the business thus creating further jobs in Sheffield.
The awarding of the NS- EN ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation demonstrates Sverdrup Steel UK’s commitment to providing quality products and services to its customers. From the initial start-up of the UK business, the Sheffield team has adopted the principles of ISO standard into its business processes as an integral part of the business, assuring customers of a level of quality meeting the required standards. Robust and efficient systems, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of individual processes ensures best practice throughout the company’s business adding value to customers’ supply chain.
