Sumitomo hires general work group

Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd, together with Sumitomo Metals (Kokura) Ltd and Sumitomo Metals (Naoetsu) Ltd, has decided to hire approximately 100 “general work group” employees, to be trained and allocated as corporate resources, for fiscal year 2011. (The number of new hires is projected to be close to 101 prospective employees hired for fiscal 2010.) Regarding “basic work group” employees, to be engaged in basic jobs in a specified area of the workplace, regular recruitment of approximately 250 employees are expected to be needed for replacement of future retirees.
