Successful start-up for billet grinder

A new Danieli Centro Maskin grinding machine for stainless steel billets has been started up successfully North American Stainless. The Kentucky stainless steel producer recently installed a new bar mill for stainless billets, among several expansion efforts in the past two years. The grinder is capable of conditioning billets ranging from 100 to 220 mm, 3.3 to 8-metre long billets. Danieli Automation supplied the machine’s electrical and automation systems.
