Subminiature gears from high-performance steels

Davall Gears has further increased its manufacturing capacity for custom gearing. The company has designed and manufactured full form subminiature gears with module size varying from 0.3 to 0.13, and specialised modified gear forms have also been produced down to 0.1 module, 10 teeth. These gear components have been manufactured in a selection of steel and stainless-steel materials with core strength up to 100t/in2, and a range of different hardnesses. The gears have been manufactured to a variety of surface finishes typically at 0.8um Ra and in special cases finishes of 0.3um Ra have been achieved.
