Stoppage at Slater

Slater Steel Inc., a maker of specialty steel products, has announced that the hourly workers at its Fort Wayne Specialty Alloys’ Division in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, have commenced a work stoppage. The workers had been working without an agreement since the expiry of their collective agreement on 19 May 2002.
Notwithstanding this work stoppage, the Fort Wayne Specialty Alloys’ Division will continue operating to ensure that customer requirements are met.
