Steel’s contribution to sustainable development.

The IISI has announed that Amory Lovins and Nicholas Grimshaw will provide keynote addresses at a major International Conference on Steel in Sustainable Construction. Highlighting the three broad themes of sustainable development, environmental, social and economic responsibility, the conference will focus uon the innovative use of steel in construction through a series of international case studies. Sponsored by IISI, major steel companies and the Luxembourg Government, the conference will take place in Luxembourg on 15-17 May 2002. The conference will also include an exhibition providing companies with the opportunity to present successful projects and for delegates to network with sustainable construction service providers.
