Steel quality solution map

At METEC 2007 (12-16 June 2007) in Duesseldorf (Germany), Parsytec AG introduced a significantly enlarged product and solution portfolio for surface quality oriented tasks. Geared to 18 major steel processing line types for carbon and stainless steel, a total of 138 solutions have been created and documented in the new Parsytec Solution Map. New applications within this map include defect trend monitoring, preview of upcoming events, pickle speed tuning, coil repair, slitting optimization, and more. Tasks supported include inspection, real-time, online and optimization solutions for better quality and higher throughputs. Following increasing customer requests to exploit surface inspection systems’ data, Parsytec has introduced 10 new production decision support applications. These applications are built on top of the Parsytec 5i software platform and targeting different line types for carbon and stainless production, ranging from casting via hot and cold rolling to coating and finishing. Application types include real-time (alarms, warnings), online (trends, speed control) and optimization (correlation, slitting).
