Steel Dynamics purchases 3rd laser cutting machine

Steel Dynamics has announced the purchase of a third laser cutting machine. The Bystronic Bystar 4025-8L 6Kw has a maximum cutting area of 8000 x 2500mm that can process even 25mm stainless.

The company considers the addition of this machine as capital investment; being one of the largest machines in the industry, this enables the company to continue to efficiently service their customers’ requirements whilst offering them the largest profile cutting area from a UK metal service centre. It will be installed over the course of August and will be in production from the 1st September.
