Steel and Tube announces new CFO

Steel and Tube has appointed Greg Smith as the new CFO & Company Secretary commencing 30 October 2017.

Mr Smith, a chartered accountant, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration, has financial and senior level leadership experience across the telecommunications, dairy, electricity and infrastructure sectors.

He commenced his finance career with KPMG’s audit team in Wellington in 1996 and has held finance roles with Opus International Consultants Limited and since 2011, as CFO for with Wellington Electricity Lines (WEL) / International Infrastructure Services Company (IISC).

Mr Smith will replace interim CFO Steve Armstrong, who was appointed in July 2017 after Janie Elrick was granted an eight month sabbatical, with the intention she return to a new executive position in February 2018.
