STATS Group (STATS) appointed Angus Bowie as Chief Technology Officer.
In this role, Angus will spearhead innovation and product development initiatives across the company and will collaborate closely with Engineering Director Doug Krokosz to leverage STATS’ deep pool of technical talent and long history of bringing industry-leading technology to the pipeline market.
Angus will establish a dedicated global development team to accelerate new solutions, while protecting and enhancing the company’s valuable intellectual property.
As a prolific inventor, Angus has numerous patents to his name, including STATS’ revolutionary BISEP® technology which transformed the hot tapping and line stop isolation market.
Angus joined STATS in Aberdeen in 2003 and since 2012 has been based in Abu Dhabi, where he served as Technical Director and most recently Regional Director for the Middle East.
