Stainless valves for Conoco

FCX Thompson Valves has secured a contract to supply its Maxseal and IVP products to Conoco’s Belanak FPSO. The floating facility, located approximately 125 miles from Singapore, is a 1000-foot vessel, with the capacity to store up to one million barrels of oil, which can be off-loaded to tankers for transportation. It is scheduled for completion by late 2004. FCX Thompson Valves will supply its Maxseal instrument changeover solenoid valves for the project. These products are manufactured in stainless steel and provide a number of benefits, such as lower power consumption, pressure options up to 207 Bar and actuation options including auto reset, lever manual override, lever manual reset and a tamper-proof function. In addition they also secured a major package to supply a range of their Maxseal-VP Dome loaded high-pressure regulators. The 1″ and 3″ products are manufactured in stainless steel and are designed to ASME class B16.34.
