Stainless steel valve from FCx

Global flow control specialist FCx has launched a new stainless steel product to complement its existing range of cast iron valves. Two of the group’s companies, distributor FCx Pegler Beacon and manufacturer FCx Thompson Valves have worked together to develop the new range. It has already been specified by FCx Pegler Beacon customer, Woodside Energy, which has purchased no less than 90 of the new ICO2S Maxseal Solenoid Valves for use in the harsh offshore environment of the Western Australian North West region. The new valves, designed and manufactured by FCx Thompson Valves, are SIRA/CENELEC approved for use in Zone 0 – the highest classification for hazardous areas. They are also some of the first valve products to be assessed compliant to Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC, and the latest European ATEX directive. Building on the acknowledged mechanical integrity of the Maxseal Product, FCx Thompson Valves committed to supplying a solution fully enclosed in 316 SS. The resulting valve is a much more streamlined design and exceeds specifications of the original. It is technically superior, as well as being resistant to corrosion.
