Stainless steel projects approved

The Orissa government of India has approved 19 projects including two new stainless steel projects which were initiated by JSL and Adhunik Mettalick. These two stainless steel plants could take the advantage of the chromium iron resources in Orissa because most main chromium iron makers locate here. JSL will build a stainless steel plant with an annual production of 800,000tns in Orissa and the stainless steel output will reach 2.5 to 2.6 million tons per year. Adhunik Metaliks, part of Adhunik group, has proposed to set up a stainless steel downstream park at Kuarmunda in Sundergarh district.
